The incident was said to have occurred in Tel Aviv, Israel as the couple walked away from Air Force One after arriving the country.

This has further fuelled rumours that all is not well in their 12-year marriage.

A Vanity Fair article had revealed some hidden secrets about their union.

According to Yahoo!News, some believe that Melania felt their first trip to Israel should not involve any hand-holding or other public display of affection.

While others think this is yet another attempt by the First Lady to show her unhappiness at her new role.

Body language experts have examined the "tension" that the couple regularly show at public appearances, concluding that there seems to be a lack of intimacy within the marriage.
