The President of France, François Hollande has declared a day of mourning following a deadly terrorist attack on the offices of magazine, Charlie Hebdo which left 12 people dead.

French President, Francois Hollande addressed the nation via a televised address saying that the 12 victims lost their lives for their vision of freedom in France.

The National day of mourning in their honour will be held from midday on Thursday, January 8.
