The Israeli Prime Minister depicted Iran as a "threat to the entire world" insisting that Iran had proven time and time again that it could not be trusted.
He then went on to urge US lawmakers to block any forthcoming deal with Iran, a move that earned cheers from US Republican lawmakers. The Democratic lawmakers and Iran on the other hand criticised Netanyahu, even as Obama stated that he offered no viable option.
Netanyahu's latest visit to the United States has been controversial from start as he was invited without consulting the White House by the Republican speaker.
