There is no information what led to the sudden increase, but my guess would be that the increase is based on the meeting it had with the striking Uber drivers in which it promised to acquiesce to their demands so they can switch to its platform.
Taxi company has raised its prices again!
There is no information on what led to the sudden increase, but my guess would be that the increase is based on the meeting it had with the striking Uber drivers.
According to a source, the protesting Uber drivers had a meeting with Taxify reps on Monday, May 8, 2017. At that meeting, Taxify reportedly agreed to look into some of the demands made by the Uber drivers and revert back to them on Friday, May 11, 2017.
A Twitter user @Akamss posted a tweet showing Taxify’s new rates. It wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that these changes are coming at this time because Taxify is trying to get Uber’s protesting drivers on its side.
Here are the new prices:
Base Fare: ₦320
Per Kilometre: ₦72
Per Minute: ₦7
Minimum Ride: ₦400
