Pokemon Go was going strong with about 45 million users daily across the world but is now going through an unsurprising deceleration to 30 million daily users.

Pokemon GO launches in Japan, bringing smash-hit game home

After taking the world by storm and shattering all kinds of records, augmented reality mobile game Pokemon Go is starting to lose steam. Fast.

The much-talked about game has started to lose its charm with consumers and has already lost more than 15 million daily users since same time last month, according to Axiom Capital Management.

Pokemon Go was going strong with about 45 million users daily across the world but is now going through an unsurprising deceleration to 30 million daily users - which is still a lot of people to be honest.

Apptopia, a mobile research company, says that engagement on Pokemon Go has already decreased by 50 per cent along with a downward stretch in Google searches for the meaning of augmented reality.  Still, the term is still searched more now than before the arrival of Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go is still raking in tons of money since it  still holds the number spot for the top grossing app in the iOS AppStore.

On the flip side, it has dropped to 11th position on that same list as the number one free app in the world.
