TV Star's Appearance At Tech Conference Causes Social Media Buzz

The reality TV star was featured at Re/Code tech conference recently and despite her sterling success in business, some people are still not impressed.

No, she's not keeping up with her family on this one, but Kim Kardashian still caused a major stir on social media when she attended the Re/Code conference on Tuesday.

Kim who is the co-creator of one of the most popular apps of 2014 is billed to make a massive $200 million from the mobile app which pulls in a daily amount of $700,000.

Whether you like it or not, Mrs Kanye West is still more successful than most startup founders, that is speaking from a revenue standpoint.

While being interviewed at the Re/Code conference, Kim professed her love for BlackBerry but did not speak much about her game, "Kim Kardashian Hollywood."

She also talked about being conscious of how she uses the social media and her attempt to prevent "oversharing," limiting herself to at least three online posts per event so as to prevent spamming from some of her numerous followers.

According to TechCrunch, a lot of commenters on Facebook and Twitter didn't seem to understand her purpose for showing up at a tech event, many of them calling her out for her infamous sex tape and artificial looks.

Well, for the record, Kim K was at Re/Code because Kara Swisher thought she was inspiring enough as a mobile growth story to put onstage. Unlike most celebrities, her mobile app has succeeded greatly in the US, gaining users and tons of money.

So if Kim shouldn't be at the conference, who should be? Her success has definitely earned her a seat there.
