3 reasons why your children need LEGO

If you born in the 90’s where ‘ten-ten’, and table soccer ruled supreme, you already know why LEGOs are important in a child's life.

Being a well- adjusted, all rounded adult involves having all the right tools from infancy to childhood to adolescence to adulthood.

During childhood, LEGOs are very important as they make us feel like we can do anything we set out to do.

Something we should be able to carry on to adulthood in order to achieve all the goals and aspirations.

LEGOs keep children occupied, and less inclined to be troublesome.

Other impacts LEGO has on children include:

Creativity- As a 90's kid, i can definitely attest to the fact that LEGOs improve creativity as they compelled me to explore my mind. Even when they come with themes, you still see children make interesting and different things. These blocks simply cause children be creative with their choices, decisions and this is represented in their lives. This also follows them as they grow as creative children(adults) will always find creative ways to deal with problems.

Enhances thinking process- LEGOs are like puzzles, they usually come unarranged in the packs with a picture in front and a manual showing you how the complete project should look. This causes children to tap into their deep recesses of their minds to find ways to put the blocks to form what is on the package. This process boosts their brains in ways most toys can not. This, as you can imagine, grows with them as they use this daily to find solutions to whatever life throws their way.

Better communication and co-operative skills- LEGOs provide children with the opportunity to test their communication and co-operative skills when they have to pair up with others to complete building block puzzles. In fact, studies show that building blocks are amongst the best toys for children in play groups. Since no man is an island, these children grow to become men/women with amazing communication and co-operative skills.

While LEGOs are amazing for children, they have one not so amazing thing, which is that the small building blocks can be swallowed by small children with curious minds.
