Social media giant is testing a feature that lets you track your friends' status on the network
For many, this may come across as intrusive on their privacy.
The creepy feature will let your friends know how long you have been away from your profile page.
Though a similar feature is up on Facebook messenger, where your friends get to know if you are active and available to receive a direct message, putting this up boldly on one's profile page may come off as far too intrusive.
Whatsapp, owned by Facebook already has a feature like this which is termed "Last Seen" so you know when last your contact was online on Whatsapp. The feature however gives you the option to turn it off such that when done you also won't be able to know when last others logged on to Whatsapp.
Perhaps the same idea may be extended to Facebook. Time would tell.
