Environment Minister on Fortune Magazine's most powerful people list

Although the full list will be published in Fortune's April 1 edition, the magazine has already released a video of the leaders that made the list.

Popular US magazine, Fortune, has announced its own list of the greatest leaders in the world and Nigeria's Minister of Environment, Amina Mohammed, is on the list.

The magazine says some of the leaders on its list may not be easily recognized, emphasizing that such leaders make the list more heartening.

"It turns out the world is full of people you’ve never heard of who are rallying followers to make life better in ways you never imagined. The professor who led the group that uncovered the Flint, Mich., water crisis; the New Delhi government official risking his career to fight pollution; the Italian mayor welcoming Middle East migrants to his tiny town—improving its economy and brightening their prospects. Who knew?," said the magazine.

Other people on the list include the likes of Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon who tops the list, Pope Francis, and Tim Cook, CEO of Apple.
