After the acquisition of Tradestable by OLX there are now only two big players left in the Nigerian classifieds market: Ringier owned Ady.ng and Naspers backed OLX.
2 big players left in the classifieds market
With OLX recently acquiring Tradestable, the market is dominated by two big players including Ady.ng
Following the change in the classifieds landscape Christopher Bjergmose, CEO of Ady.ng, comments:
“It is always sad to see a competitor go, as a competitive landscape keeps you on your toes and encourage you to push your business even further.
I had a lot of respect for Tradestable as they had a high degree of focus on quality and genuine ads, which is really a hallmark of Ady”.
Bjergmose adds;
“Now that there are only two major players left we see this as an advantage for Ady as we have reliable quality listings from our satisfied users. Further to this we don’t only provide free ads in a few areas like electronics and cars but offer our users to buy and sell virtually any product imaginable as well as finding services or finding the love of their life in our dating categories.
Ady is not only C2C but also a platform for the small merchants in Nigeria who want to gain an online presence. Therefore we provide business pages for trusted merchants where they can promote their business alongside their ads. All free of charge”.
Ady made its entry into the Nigerian online space in 2014.
“We keep the users of the now defunct Tradestable in a high esteem and we welcome them to try out Ady, where they will be able to experience a trustworthy quality experience. As Tradestable had very trusted merchants, these are of course very welcome on Ady where we will provide them with free business pages if they qualify”.
“The effort to bring all Nigerian’s together in the online marketplace sphere has indeed intensified and we are looking forward to partake in every Nigerian’s journey forward be it business, career, love or anything else. Because with Ady they have the chance to connect through free ads”, Bjergmose concludes
