‘Governor is funding PDP with Rivers State’s money,’ APC claims

The Rivers APC said further that the opposition party had relocated its headquarters from Abuja to Port Harcourt, the state capital.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has accused Governor Nyesom Wike of funding the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with the state’s funds.

The comments were made on Monday, November 16, 2015, by Rivers APC Chairman, Dr Davies Ibiamu Ikanya while speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt.

“The national publicity secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh and the acting national chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus have relocated to Port Harcourt as if Rivers State is the national headquarters of the PDP. We know the Governor Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike is now funding the party with Rivers people’s money,” Ikanya said according to Leadership.

“We advise Metuh and the National Working Committee of the PDP to shut up their mouth if they don’t have anything to say. Any opportunity they have to say something, they always try to blackmail the APC, so as to tarnish the image of our great party and President Muhammadu Buhari before Nigerians,” he added.

The Rivers APC also recently criticized the PDP for saying that the appointment of former Governor, Rotimi Amaechi as the Minister of Transport was a waste.
