Former Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Timipre Sylva has emerged as the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) governorship candidate for the state.

Sylva, was declared the winner of the APC governorship primaries on Tuesday, September 22, 2015.

The former governor won the polls with a total of 726 votes and was followed by Warman Ogoriba, who came a distant second with 10 votes, and Chief Timi Alaibe who had four votes.
“When finally we win, we would sweep all garbage out of government,” Sylva said when he emerged victorious.
Sylva had ruled the state from 2008 to 2012 when his tenure was terminated by the Supreme Court.
