Senator ignores APC's invitation, threatens to sue party
The Senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani on Wednesday threatened to sue persons parading themselves as APC executive members in the state over an invitation to appear before a disciplinary committee.

The invitation was based on the ground that Sani has allegedly involved himself in anti-party activities in the State.
However, according to Senator Sheu Sani, since parallel factions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have emerged in Kaduna, it was baseless to respond to such illegal invitation and suspension threat.
According to Nasir El-Rufai, even if there are new acting executives in the state or a change in the party’s office address as contained in the letter head of the cooked-up invitation, Senator Sani as a party stalwart in the state should have been properly briefed.
At a news briefing, Sani through his legislative aide; Rabiu Khaleed, has threatened to sue the All Progressive Congress (APC) if the party fails to withdraw the letter alleging Sheu Sani's involvement in anti-party activities.
He said "This is our stand. We will not honour an invitation by kangaroo executives in the state. APC executives are not in existence in the state. We are, therefore, urging them to withdraw the letter sent to us within a week or we will take legal action against them.
“Senator Shehu Sani will not honour their invitation because he does not recognize them as state executives of the party. They are only claiming to be APC members but we know they are only doing a bid for the state governor.
“Since our election, no party executive in the state deemed it fit to write to Senator Sani to inform him of any party activities despite being a party stakeholder. Therefore, he will not honour any invitation from anybody because there are no recognized party leaders in the state."
Senator Sheu Sani said that the Kaduna Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) is not in unison and he denied the alleged anti-party activities, while making it known that it is merely a ploy to tarnish his image.
