Durojaiye is said to have died on Sunday, November 8, 2015, after a prolonged illness, according to The Nation.
The late clerk was one of the officers who presided over the controversial June 9 election which led to the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as Senate President.
Durojaiye also supervised the inauguration of the eighth Senate.
Saraki defied his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to become Senate President despite being excluded from contesting by a mock poll which chose Senator Ahmed Lawan as the sole candidate for the position.
