Tinubu, Ambode, Ajimobi, Aregbesola absent at APC rally

Gov Ambode, Ajimobi, Aregbesola and APC national leader, Bola Tinubu have reportedly shunned the APC rally in Akure.

According to a report by Punch Newspaper, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and the three of the APC governors were absent at the campaign, which had the presence of the President, Muhammadu Buhari.

It was further reported that present at the campaign alongside President Buhari were governors of Imo, Plateau, Kano, Ogun, Jigawa, Edo States.

Though no reasons were given for their absence at the rally, the Chairman the APC Governors’ Forum, Mr. Rochas Okorocha said all the governors of the party were behind the candidate of the of the party, Rotimi Akeredolu.

”Ondo State must join the progressives states in Nigeria, therefore we must vote for him and he will win the election. Akeredolu rejected federal appointments because he loves you people. He wants to serve you, so vote for him,” Okorocha said.

President Buhari arrived Akure on Saturday, November 19, 2016 for the campaign and was received by the incumbent governor, Olusegun Mimiko.
