"I am humbled that Ondo chose me," Akeredolu

Rotimi Akeredolu has taken to his twitter handle to jubilate and thank the people of Ondo State having come out top in the governorship election.

In recent tweets, Akeredolu has been thanking Ondo people for choosing him to lead them for four years.

In one of his tweets, he said: "Ondo has decided and I am humbled that my people chose me. Our time to Think Anew and Act Anew has come. Thank You Ondo State. ."

In another tweet, he wrote: "Thank you Ondo".

Akeredolu is currently leading other candidates with a wide margin after winning 15 out of the 17 announced local government areas as released by INEC.

As at the last count, here are the figures polled by each candidate.

Olusegun Oke (AD): 90,674

Rotimi Akeredolu (APC): 213,686

Eyitayo Jegede (PDP): 121,471
