The tribunal, which sat in Benin, also threw out the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
The tribunal ruled that Ize-Iyamu’s request to be declared winner of the election lacked merit.
It added that Ize Iyamu and the PDP’s “heavy reliance” on the voting process was misplaced and had weakened their case.

It also held that the petitioners were unable to substantially prove their case.
