Nigeria Elections 2015 INEC declares Tambuwal Governor-elect of Sokoto State

Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, won Sokoto governorship race with a total of 647,609 votes, while Senator Abdallah Wali of the People’s Democratic Party scored 269,074 votes.

The Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has been declared winner of the governorship election in Sokoto State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission’s returning officer in the state, Professor Abdullahi Bagudo,  said the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate, Tambuwal scored a total of 647,609 whiles Senator Abdallah Wali of the People’s Democratic Party got 269,074 votes.

The total valid votes cast were 926, 682, while the total votes rejected were 32,054.
