The All Progressives Congress (APC) has achieved majority status in the House of Representatives.

The APC won 214 out of 360 seats during the March 28 elections and as such is expected to be in control of the House when it resumes.

The results which put the APC in the lead however exclude 11 federal constituency seats in Jigawa State, where elections haven’t been held.

APC 81 lawmakers from the North-West, 47 from the South-West, 41 from the North-Central, 40 from the North-East and three from the South-South.

The APC has also gained majority in the Senate with 64 seats and is expected to produce the next Senate President and the next Speaker of the House of Representatives.
