Presidential candidate vows to imprison corrupt officials

Buhari stated this on Tuesday, January 6, during an APC rally in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari has said that all corrupt persons will be imprisoned if he is elected into office.

Buhari stated this on Tuesday, January 6, during an APC rally in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

“When we come into power, anyone who steals Nigerian money will end up in Kirikiri Maximum Prisons. We are going to make sure that Nigeria’s wealth belongs only to Nigerians,” he said.

Buhari also lamented the economic situation in Nigeria saying that the reverse would have been the case if the country hadn’t been overly dependent on oil.

The former Head of State added further that if elected, his government would create at least three million jobs annually and thus reduce the rate of unemployment in the country.
