The concept of loyalty is a very strange concept. I always pray that my loyalty should not be tested
Loyalty, according to the dictionary, is defined as a strong feeling of support or allegiance.
During his screening at the Senate, the former Governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Raji Fashola schooled the Senators, on his own concept of loyalty.
He said “The concept of loyalty is a very strange concept. I always pray that my loyalty should not be tested.”
Fashola also said 'We may discuss it loosely, but you may not know. When loyalty is tested, you might have to take a bullet for your own child.'
Adding that “I have remained loyal to causes I signed to. I stand by my word.”
"Nobody can fairly accuse me of giving my word and going back on my word,” Fashola said.
Finally he said a prayer, to which all the Senator chorused Amen to, in unison.
The former Governor of Lagos state’s appointment was also confirmed by the Senate.
