5 PDP officials APC is ‘planning to kill’

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to assassinate some of its notable members.

The allegation was made by PDP spokesperson, Olisa Metuh in response to an alleged attemptto kill Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

“This killer squad, our intelligence further revealed, has key marksmen recruited from within and outside the country with directives to trail, track down and hit strategic opposition elements and instill fear among PDP members," Metuh said while speaking to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, November 18, 2015.

In a statement released on Tuesday, November 17, Ekweremadu's media aide, Uche Anichukwu, alleged that the suspected assassins trailed the senator’s convoy while he was making his way to the office.

He however managed to escape the incident without injury.
