The party's state chairman, who is also the head of the caucus, Dr. Ben Nwoye hopes that the inauguration will boost the party's chances of producing the state's next governor.
Other members that were appointed into the caucus include former governor of the state, Sullivan Chime and Jim Nwobodo, who was governor of the old Anambra state from 1979 - 1983.
Both are also former chieftains of the PDP before they jumped ship to the ruling APC.
Other members inducted at the APC secretariat include current Foreign Affairs Minister, Jeffrey Onyeama, Eugene Odoh, a former Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, former military governor of Gombe state, Group Capt. Joe Orji, Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, and Chief Onyemauche Nnamani, former secretary to Enugu state government.
Describing the members as great men and women, Dr. Nwoye believes the prominence of the new caucus members will help the party to win the state's general election in 2019.
