In kebbi 24 lawmakers-elect get Certificate of Return from INEC

The state’s INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Alhaji Jibril Zarewa, who presented the certificates, said the 2015 election has been free and fair.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kebbi on Thursday, April 30, presented certificates of return to 24 elected members of the Kebbi State House of Assembly in Birnin Kebbi.

The state’s INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Alhaji Jibril Zarewa, who presented the certificates, said the 2015 election has been free and fair.

He said this was why there were no protests recorded in the state assembly elections.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) won 20 seats, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won four seats in the House of Assembly election in the state.

The APC winners included Mohammed Buhari (Aliero), Abdullahi Yaldu (Arewa), Nasiru Umma (Argungu), Bello Bayawa (Augie), Umar Bagugu (Birnin Kebbi North), Bello Yakubu (Birnin Kebbi East), Aminu Mohammed (Bunza), Abdulmumin Ismail (Dandi) and Ibrahim Bokolo (Fakai).

Others are Faruk Nasarawa (Jega), Ahmed Kuka (Kalgo), Alhaji Adamu Sammanaji (Koko/Besse), Abdulwasiu Andarai (Maiyama), Alhaji Mohammed Sodangi (Ngaski) and Salihu Dangoje (Sakaba).

The rest are Hamza Bello (Danko/Wasagu West), Haliru Aliyu (Danko/Wasagu East), Aliyu Ahmed (Yauri) and Sani Idris (Zuru).

The PDP state assembly winners are Mohammed Lolo (Bagudo West), Muhammed Ismail (Bagudo East), Muhammed Tukur (Shanga) and Anaruwa Garba (Suru).

NAN reports that the APC won the governorship seat, three senate seats and eight House of Representatives seats in the 2015 elections.
