A close friend and ally of President Goodluck Jonathan, Diekivie Ikiogha has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ex-President’s close friend defects to APC
Ikiogha formally defected to the ruling party on Saturday, June 20, 2015, during an elaborate ceremony which took place in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Other prominent PDP members who defected along with him are Victor Awala, Paul Ajuwa, Mrs D. Irene and Prince Abeki.
Ikiogha explained during the ceremony that he decided to leave the PDP because, according to him, it is a party full of betrayal and deceit.
The PDP has witnesses a mass exodus of its members since losing the 2015 presidential elections.
