Senator drums support for Buhari

Former governor of Akwa Ibom and Senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio, enjoined Nigerians to support the ant-corruption and anti-terrorism battle of President Muhammadu Buhari.

 

Former governor of Akwa Ibom and Senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio, enjoined Nigerians to support the ant-corruption and anti-terrorism battle of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Senator Akpabio said this after a meeting on Christmas day in Essien Udim, Akwa Ibom State.

He likewise condemned groups that that have been disturbing the public peace, claiming that the country was already facing immense security challenges.

In spite of being in the major opposition party, Akapbio said that PDP stakeholders are in support of President Buhari’s anti-terrorism and anti-corruption war.

“My Senatorial District PDP stakeholders passed a vote of confidence on Mr President and supported his anti-terrorism and anti-corruption war,” said the Senate minority leader.

“We are urging him not to allow people to use his victory to foment trouble in the country so that Nigerians can have peace.”

Senator Godswill Akpabio also encouraged PDP supporters in Akwa Ibom State to remain clam even with the nullification of April 11th gubernatorial election in the state and wished a happy Xmas and prosperous New Year.
