“If I stop talking Nigerian masses will suffer”

Fayose made the comment on Thursday, July 28, 2016, during a programme on Orange 94.5 FM in Akure, Ondo State.

Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose.

“I don’t hate President Buhari but what I have been saying is truth and he knows I have been saying the truth,” he said.

“I was 24 years old when he became military head of state, and that was the same way things were difficult. We queued up before we could purchase essential commodities.

“I am saying the truth so that the president can do things that will benefit the people of this country. They want to shut me up, but I will not stop talking… I will continue to talk even in incarceration. If I stop talking Nigerian masses will suffer,” he added.

Fayose also recently described the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) under Buhari as a threat to Nigeria’s democracy due to the many elections it had declared inconclusive.
