The only way we can make the nation progress is for the leaders to humble themselves and come to the level of those being led.
The Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose, in a meeting with members of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), preached a sermon on humility.
He picked on political leaders, asking them to be humble and come down to the level of their followers, so they can understand their needs.
Fayose said “The only way we can make the nation progress is for the leaders to humble themselves and come to the level of those being led. When they do that, they will know what the people need and be able to meet those needs.”
Adding that “A leader cannot be faraway from the people and be able to know their needs. There is no leader without the followers. That is why I have always been close to my people. I am not going to be a governor that is celebrated abroad but not celebrated at home.”
