A group in PDP has lauded the INEC for conducting what it termed a free, fair and credible governorship election in Edo State.
The commission has been lauded by the Restoration Group, a political pressure group in the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party, on Monday, October 3, 2016 for conducting a fair governorship election in the state.
Speaking to journalists in Benin City, Edo State, the leader of the group and leader of the PDP, Uyi Igbinigie, said the election was not rigged in favour of the APC by the INEC but the problem was with the PDP.

“The problem was that before the election because of the financial recklessness of the PDP during the last general election, PDP already had a bad name in Edo. And to add to the injury, the Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who was the PDP candidate was among those who collected N700million for the presidential election," the group said.
Meanwhile, Osagie Ize-Iyamu has called on his supporters to remain calm saying we can leave everything to God.
