The twittosphere has been awash with the Senate President’s controversial tweet on the approval of the service chiefs’ appointment.

Pulse Nigeria investigated, and found out that the Senate President deleted the controversial tweet, and issued a press release via his timeline, and what seems like a denial.

Twitter followers got angry at the press release and lashed back immediately.

In 2013, Justice Adamu Bello ruled that the appointments of the service chiefs without the approval of the National Assembly’s was null and void because they did not conform to Section 18 (1) and (2) of the Armed Forces Act, Cap. A20, Laws of the Federation.
