President to meet with Dogara today, July 1

Details of the proposed meeting were disclosed to journalists by presidential media aide, Garba Shehu.

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to hold a meeting with House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara today, July 1, 2015.

Details of the proposed meeting were disclosed to journalists by presidential media aide, Garba Shehu.

The meeting will hold at the First Lady Conference Room in the Presidential Villa by 10pm, Shehu said.

Buhari has not met with any of the National Assembly leaders since they contested and emerged victorious on June 9 in defiance of the wishes of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The President is said to have shunned earlier attempts made by Dogara and Senate President, Bukola Saraki to meet with him as a way of showing his displeasure at their actions.
