President to appoint 14 special advisers soon

A source in the Presidency made the disclosure adding that Buhari had already compiled the list of the proposed advisers

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to appoint fourteen special advisers who will serve his administration soon, reports say.

A source in the Presidency made the disclosure adding that Buhari had already compiled the list of the proposed advisers, Daily Trust reports.

“You know the ministers have just been inaugurated. The key appointments which Mr. President is set to announce any moment from now are those of his special advisers,” the source said.

“Mr President is no longer in the process of searching for those advisers. That has been done. He will announce their names any time soon,” the source added.

Buhari had received the Senate’s approval to appoint 15 special advisers after writing a letter to the legislative chamber in June.

Meanwhile, the president’s 36 ministers were inaugurated and given portfolios on November 11.
