President might swear ministers in on Wednesday, November 4 – Report

The Senate completed the screening and confirming of Buhari’s 36 nominees on Thursday, October 29.

 

According to reports, President Muhammadu Buhari might inaugurate his newly appointed ministers on Wednesday, November 4, 2015.

The president is also likely to assign the ministers their various portfolios on November 4, according to Daily Trust.

“The first major official assignment before Mr President in November is the inauguration of his cabinet. Arrangements have already been made for this and this [will] most likely happen on Wednesday,” a presidency source said.

An aide to a ministerial candidate also reportedly confirmed the news.

“The inauguration is taking place Wednesday next week, according to what I heard my boss saying this (yesterday) afternoon,” the aide said, according to Daily Trust.

The president’s ministers include former governors, Babatunde Fashola, Kayode Fayemi and Rotimi Amaechi among others.
