‘President is more clueless than Jonathan,’ NCP says

The statement was made on Thursday, July 16, 2015, by the party’s National General Secretary Comrade Ayodele Akele.

Former president, Goodluck Jonathan hands over power to Muhammadu Buhari.

The National Conscience Party (NCP) has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is more clueless than his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan.

The statement was made on Thursday, July 16, 2015, by the party’s National General Secretary, Ayodele Akele.

Akele also described Buhari as an ‘archaic and analogue’ president during a chat with Daily Independent.

He said:

“Look at all the promises Buhari made to Nigerians during the election. Which one has he fulfilled? There will get to a point when Buhari will say things and Nigerians will not believe him.”

“When is he going to start paying N5,000 to unemployed youths and elderly ones? When is he going to stabilise the price of the dollar to naira? The value of the naira keeps dropping every day. The standard of living of Nigerians has worsened under Buhari than Jonathan.”

“He is an archaic and analogue president. He is so slow. They are calling Jonathan a clueless president. He is more clueless than Jonathan. We expected him to name his ministers not more than two weeks after assumption to office. The Senate has approved the list of 15 Special Advisers he sent over a month ago. Where are the advisers? Nigerians don’t know them because he is still keeping the names to himself.”

“Here is a retired soldier that left the military thirty years ago. He is no longer conversant with current military tactics. He said the military hierarchy should relocate to Maiduguri. What has been the result of that? The army recorded success in the war during Jonathan’s time, but now the situation has worsened.”

Buhari has faced severe criticism for the slow pace of his administration and especially for his delay in appointing ministers to his cabinet.
