Senator Sam Egwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that members of the party want President Muhammadu Buhari to succeed.

Egwu, a former governor of Ebonyi State, said further that Nigerians will suffer if Buhari fails.

“My concern now is how the president will succeed because if he doesn’t succeed all of us will suffer,” he said on April 3, 2016, during a phone interview with Daily Trust.

“We want a positive change and we will support it. Buhari must succeed. Even though we are of the PDP, we will support him to succeed in the interest of the country,” he added.

Egwu, who is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry, also urged Nigerians to support the programmes of the present administration for the success of the country.
