Saraki read Buhari's letter on Ibeto's withdrawal to his colleagues today, October 14, 2015, during the Senate’s ongoing plenary session.
President Muhammadu Buhari has withdrawn the name of Ahmed Musa Ibeto from his list of ministerial nominees.
Buhari is said to have informed Senate President, Bukola Saraki of the withdrawal via a letter.
Saraki read the letter to his colleagues today, October 14, 2015, during the Senate’s ongoing plenary session.
The upper legislative chamber is expected to continue the screening of Buhari’s nominees today.
10 of the president’s 37 nominees were interviewed by the Senate yesterday and all of them were confirmed as ministers.
No reason has however been given for the withdrawal of Ibeto’s name from the list.
