Former military administrator of Lagos State, Mohammed Buba Marwa has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Marwa announced his departure from the PDP via a statement released on Monday, June 1, 2015 by his spokesperson, Bello Zubairu.

The statement reads in part:

“The former military governor decided to quit the PDP on personal grounds. Marwa appealed to his numerous supporters and well-wishers who have been calling him for direction from across the country to await his next move.”

It is however not yet clear if Marwa intends to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Zubairu explained further that “the retired General will be making public his next line of action in the coming days.”

Marwa had left the APC in 2014 alleging that the party had meted out a series of injustices to him and had also been hijacked by then Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako.
