How PDP can regain power in 2019 - Chieftain

He said it will be a disaster if someone who lacks experience and understanding of the party's direction and manifesto is appointed chairman.

The PDP national caucus had on July 14, in Abuja, agreed that the national chairman will come from the south, while the presidential candidate will come from the North.

“The chairmanship position coming to the South means if the party is serious, the party must look for a credible, responsible and respectable person, who has the network and experience," George said Thursday, July 30, in Lagos.

“It has to be a person who has the details of the party and not some ‘’bambino.’’

“The PDP must avoid going from frying pan to fire and bring an appropriate person.

“Anybody lower than the level of the chairman of APC will be inappropriate. We have to get somebody that will be at par in political experience and understanding of the tenets of the party.’’

Also speaking on the clash between the Segun Adewale and Moshood Salvador factions of the party in Lagos, George described it as absolute lawlessness and political immaturity, adding that the party will not tolerate indiscipline among its members.
