Ayade was elected in April 2015 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The governor’s victory was challenged by Joe Agi, who was the runner up to Ayade in the PDP governorship primaries of December 2014.
Agi had urged the court to unseat Ayade over an alleged false declaration of age.
