Party increases governorship form to N6m in Kogi, Bayelsa

According to him, there is discount by 50 per cent compared to 2014 when Expression of Interest form cost N2million and the Nomination form obtained at N10million.

APGA increases governorship form to N6m in Kogi, Bayelsa

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), on Tuesday, said it would cost N6million to purchase a form for the upcoming governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa as against N1.5million earlier published.

National Director of Publicity of the party, Mr Ifeanacho Ogbuejiofor, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

Ogbuejiofor said the Expression of Interest Form would cost N1million while the Nomination Form would be obtained at the cost of N5million.

He said that sale of the form commenced on Monday, Aug. 24, adding that the forms were to be obtained at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Ogbuejiofor said the party’s primaries for the Kogi and Bayelsa governorship elections would be conducted on Sept. 10 and Sept. 25, respectively.

According to him, the announcement of the date for primaries followed the recent release of time table for the elections in both states by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He expressed readiness of the party to participate in the elections in both states, saying that the party would ensure that it fielded good candidates for the contest.

The spokesman said APGA would participate in the elections, adding that the party would cooperate with INEC to ensure credible polls.
