Amaechi also said that Oshiomhole is admired by the people of Edo and Nigerians as a whole.

The minister made the comments during a send-off party organized for Oshiomhole who will soon be vacating the office.
“We are proud of him because he has done APC proud not only in Edo State but in the South-South,” Amaechi said.
“He is one of our best and we are grateful to God today that he will bow out having finished strongly to the admiration of not only Edo people but Nigerians as whole,” he added.
Oshiomhole will be handing over to Godwin Obaseki who represented the APC in the September 28 governorship elections.
Obaseki won 319,483 votes to defeat Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu who won 253, 173 votes.
