Anambra APC congratulates Ondo governor-elect

The party described Akeredolu’s victory as “prosperous” for Ondo State and the people.

Rotimi Akeredolu

The party, in a statement by its state Publicity Secretary, Mr Okelo Madukaife, described Akeredolu’s victory as “prosperous” for Ondo State and the people.

“We have always pictured that victory was a whiff away for Ondo, for salaries of workers and for discipline in governance.

“Our party chose the right candidate and as well had the right mission for governance.

“We urge Akeredolu, in the spirit of our party’s understanding of governance, to translate his campaign policies, particularly as they affect agriculture and other productive sectors that have been ignored before now.

“The victory should stand as warning against the idea of profiting from factionalisation of political parties,” it said.

It regretted that the illegality of factionalising a political party during elections started in Anambra and had set the people of the state backwards for 13 years.
