Zakzaky Shiite leader speaks to Iran during battle with army [VIDEO]

The battle between the Shiites and the army occurred on Saturday, December 12, 2015, after the group allegedly attempted to assassinate Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai.

The leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, popularly known as Shiites, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky reportedly spoke to someone from Iran during a recent “siege” on his home by the Nigerian Army.

The battle between the Shiites and the army occurred on Saturday, December 12, 2015, after the group allegedly attempted to assassinate Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai.

Zakzaky’s home was later surrounded by soldiers and he was eventually arrested.

The battle is said to have left many members of the group dead and its spokesperson, Ibrahim Musa has claimed that the attack was unwarranted.
