It said that the Facebook account was created in the name of the Acting Head of the Federal Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita.

The Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, has disassociated itself from a purported Facebook account used by alleged fraudsters to advertise job vacancies.

A statement issued by Mr Haruna Imrana, Director of Communications in the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, on Tuesday in Abuja, warned the general public that the account was false and dubious.

It said that the Facebook account was created in the name of the Acting Head of the Federal Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita.

"The general public is hereby warned that the so called Facebook account is false and dubious. The Acting Head of the Civil Service has no such account.

"The office of the Head of service does not advertise vacancies for employment as dubiously stated on the page,’’ the statement said.

It maintained that the account was a scam created by fraudsters to mislead and dupe the innocent job-seeking public.

The statement, therefore, warned the general public to disregard the Facebook account and any information it may carry.

It furthermore warned the public to desist from any form of dialogue on the account, adding that it was fictitious and fraudulent.

The statement added that anyone who engages in any form of dialogue or transaction with persons on the account, does so at his own risk.
