"Keep yourself in prayers"

Waconzy who is resident in Lagos, a city where Ebola has 7 confirmed cases and the loss of 3 lives including the primary patient, Liberian national, Patrick Sawyer who brought the virus into the country, believes that prayer is the key.

Nigerians singing star, Waconzy, believes the way forward for many Nigerians who are scared of the rampaging Ebola virus can be found in prayer.

Waconzy who is resident in Lagos, a city where Ebola has 7 confirmed cases and the loss of 3 lives including the primary patient, Liberian national, Patrick Sawyer, who brought the virus into the country, believes that prayer is the key.

“All I want to say is keep yourself in prayers. We live by the grace of God. If you're scared of Ebola, you're scared of Boko Haram, and everything else, how would you live?” he told Pulse.ng.

Fear has been endemic in the country over the outbreak of the disease, with many citizens becoming insociable, in a bid to prevent contracting the virus. Different measures have also been exercised, to check the spread of the disease, and Waconzy is of the opinion that personal hygiene and caution is the way forward.

“I like to tell everybody that Ebola has been there forever. It's a virus that came from Apes, monkeys and bats. It got to human beings from people that started eating bats and others. It's a killer for us (humans).

“Ebola is preventable. You see someone that is looking very sick, of course you don't shake the person, you stay as far away as possible.” He added.
