Buhari appoints journalist as SA on digital media

Ogunlesi was accused of writing the article on The Economist, that described former President Goodluck Jonathan as an ineffectual buffoon.

Special Assistant on digital media to President Buhari, Tolu Ogunlesi.

This is coming just after the President appointed 24 year-old Bashir Ahmad,as his Personal Assistant on New Media.

You will recall that the Award-winning journalist was accused of writing the article on The Economist, that described former President Goodluck Jonathan as “an ineffectual buffoon.”

Ogunlesi is a blogger, who has also served as a member of the Editorial Board of NEXT Newspaper.

He has also won the CNN Multichoice African Journalism Awards, twice.

Ogunlesi, an alumnus of the prestigious University of Ibadan, also has a Masters’ degree in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, UK.

The President seems geared to dominate and influence the new media space with this crop of men on his team.
