Tinubu said President Buhari is leading Nigeria slowly but steadily given his wealth of experience and age.
Speaking in Abuja on Monday, October 2, 2016, at the launch of the book; "Muhammadu Buhari: The Challenges of Leadership in Nigeria" by Professor John Paden, the APC chieftain said President Buhari is leading Nigeria "slowly but steadily."
"As a sitting president, Buhari is on an assignment against time to undo the wrong of nearly two decades of bad governance," Tinubu said.
"Buhari has always been doing things in its different, discipline and spartan way. Buhari is a transformative leader. Now that he is older and given his experience, he is slow but steady in his approach to governance,” the APC chieftain added.
The book which consists of three twenty-four chapters attempts to chronicle Buhari's life as a military Head of State and his 'long walk' to becoming a democratically elected president.
The event was well attended by the president and his wife, Aisha Buhari; past leaders- Olusegun Obasanjo and Yakubu Gowon; presidents of Niger and Benin; vice president Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo; Senate president Bukola Saraki and his wife, Toyin; and Ministers- Lai Mohammed (information) and Ogbonaya Onu (Science and Technology) among others.
