Suspected locals kill herdsman, 15 cows

The attack might be in retaliation to a recent attack by suspected herdsmen who had killed two people in Plateau.

This was disclosed by the Plateau State Police Command's spokesman, Terna Tyopev, in a statement issued in Jos, the state capital.

According to him, the attack might be in retaliation to a recent attack by suspected herdsmen who had killed two people in Ariri and Tafi-Gene villages of Jebu-Miango in Bassa LGA during the weekend.

He said, "At about 5:30 pm, we received information that a herdsman was killed and 15 of his cows slaughtered by gunmen suspected to be Iregwe people at Rafin-Bauna village of Bassa Local Government.
