Gaya made the revelation when Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola appeared before the committee to defend his ministry’s budget.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works, Senator Kabiru Gaya on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, Daily Trust reports.

The senator said further that one of the contractors collected N1 billion while some others collected N500 million.

Gaya also urged Fashola to investigate the named contracts and report back to the committee during the next meeting.
