EFCC says owner of Ikoyi cash should go to court
The EFCC, on Wednesday, April 12, found the cash, in separate sums of $43.4 million, £27,800 and N23.2 million, in a luxury flat in Ikoyi.

The ownership of the money has since been a subject of controversy with both the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Rivers State Government laying claim to it.
“The court has ruled that whoever has reasons why the recent money stash should not be forfeited to the FG should stand before it on May 5,” the EFCC said via a tweet on Tuesday, April 18.
The Federal High Court in Lagos had, on Thursday, April 13, ordered that the money be temporarily forfeited to the Federal Government.

The court also urged anyone with interests in the money to come forward to show why the money should not be permanently forfeited to the FG.
